Green tea is certainly a great food itself for human body to remain fit and resilient. "It's the healthiest thing I can think of to drink," says Christopher Ochner, PhD who is research scientist in nutrition at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. “All green tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant, but the final aromas and tastes differ depending on where the leaves are grown and how they’re produced,” says Mary Lou Heiss, coauthor of The Tea Enthusiast’s Handbook: A Guide to the World’s Best Teas.

Green Tea’s Biggest Benefit: 

"It's all about the catechin content," says Beth Reardon, RD, a Boston nutritionist. Catechins are antioxidants which help fight against cell damage.

Weight Loss Benefits: 

"All things being equal, if you sub 1-2 cups of green tea for one can of soda, over the next year you'd save over 50,000 calories," Ochner says.

Effects on Cancer: 

Recent researches show a great positive effect of green tea on patients who suffer from different types of cancers. According to the National Cancer Institute and its web site, "does not recommend for or against the use of tea to reduce the risk of any type of cancer." It also improves brain function, fat loss, along having a lower risk of cancer and numerous other unbelievable benefits.

Green tea’s nominal amount everyday helps you slow down and relax. Its is also considered a natural chemical called theanine which basically brings calming effect and relaxes your body. Green tea is also full of antioxidants and healthy nutrients that have influential properties soothing human body in a great way.
