Nephritis – Symptoms, Causes and Home Remedies

Generally, the inflammation of kidneys are called Nephritis. It could also include the inflammation of glomeruli, tubules, or interstitial nerve close to the glomeruli and tubules. The ailment could substantiate serious if not treated appropriately.

“Nephritis is an inflammation of the kidney,” says Dr. Bryan N. Becker, Immediate Past President of the National Kidney Foundation. “The body reacts against itself and the immune system does not work properly.”

Nephritis Symptoms: “The amount of inflammation can range from mild to severe, and the amount of kidney damage would range accordingly,” adds Dr. Jonathan A. Winston, Professor of Nephrology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. “In general, it is a serious condition.”

“Even in severe cases, the damage can often be reversible and manageable because several different effective medications are available,” explains Dr. Winston. “Each patient must be assessed as an individual, but the majority of patients do well, particularly if they are diagnosed early in the disease process and treated appropriately.”

Nephritis Symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Dull back pain
  • Pain in the urinary tract
  • Scanty flow of urine
  • Blood in urine

  • Incorrect eating habits

  • Alcohol
  • Smoking

Natural Home Remedy Using Carrots, Lemon and Honey:

  1. Take 1 glass carrot juice
  2. Add 1 tsp lemon juice
  3. Add 1 tsp honey
  4. Mix well
  5. Drink every morning on an empty stomach

Natural Home Remedy Using Parsley Leaves:

  1. Crush a few parsley leaves
  2. Press them on a sieve and extract their juice
  3. Add 1 tsp honey to the juice
  4. Mix well
  5. Drink 3 times every day


  • Coconut water is an excellent diuretic. Drink 2 glasses of coconut water every day

         • Include 4-5 bananas and 1 papaya in your diet
